Shonda & Kevin - Engagement Shoot

June 20, 2013- Balboa Park

Shonda & Kevin are getting married next month! They wanted to take photos with the flowers blooming and lots of color. We tried to take pics earlier in the year but it didn't work out. Thankfully when we were able to schedule the shoot the flowers were still in bloom and beautiful. It was such an easy carefree shoot. I look forward to seeing the beautiful couple in the wedding day best in a few weeks!

Nick & Kathryn - May 25, 2013

Castle Pines, Colorado
Nick and Kathryn got married in a beautiful area of Colorado, just south of Denver and along the bottom of the rockies. I was so excited to be able to photograph a wedding in Colorado- with such a breath taking backdrop. And to make the wedding even more beautiful - Kathryn and Nick! It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Gorgeous weather and just the right amount of clouds. They had a sweet first look to get most of their photos done before ceremony so they could socialize and party with friends and family. The entire wedding went so perfect and I couldn't stop taking photos!! Thank you Kathryn & Nick for including me in such a special day!!

 

Ignacio & Alia

Ignacio & Alia's wedding was at the La Jolla Cove Suites in downtown La Jolla. It was a beautiful day for photos, with big clouds and sun coming in and out all day long. The wedding took place on the rooftop of the hotel and it over looked the cove. It is a beautiful place for a wedding and a great place for some cloud coverage! Alia and Ignacio were such a fun couple... they chose to see each other prior so we could could get some of the photos done before the ceremony. A nice bonus for them was that her brother was their videographer! Which also made it fun for them as well as myself. Something about siblings! After the ceremony the party got started! And thankfully they agreed to leave the party for a few minutes for some sunset shots down on the beach. It did take some convincing to do so... but I think in the end it was worth it!

Coronado Community Center

Chris and Joanna got married at the Community Center in Coronado, which I always find very pretty and equally great for a wedding and photographs. I met Joanna a couple years ago when I photographed her sister's wedding, Frances & Chris. It was fun to see their family again and catch up!  It always helps to know your clients. And even though Joanna and I didn't talk much at her sisters wedding, we still felt very comfortable together and made the wedding that much more fun. I also liked that they wanted to go someplace else for some photos, not just the Community Center. They were a fun group and I have the photos to prove it ;) Here are some of my favorites!! Enjoy!

Ian & Jen

San Diego Rowing Club, Mission Beach, CA
Jen and Ian got married on a beautifully sunny day at a very cool location. The wedding was at the Rowing club, which is right on the Bay. It makes for a beautiful and unique setting. I also loved all the handmade touches Jen put into their wedding! She did a beautiful job. Oh and I loved the bouquets!! Such a cool flower choice!! These two were so cute and fun to take photos of! Ian got ready on a boat on Shelter Island and Jen got ready at the Catamaran down the street from the Rowing Club. It was a bright fun wedding and I had a great time taking photos!!
