Andre & Casey - April 30, 2011

Hakone Gardens, Saratoga, CA

Casey and Andre got married at this beautiful Japanese Garden up in Northern California. The story goes that they were driving along this scenic highway and stumbled upon this stunning garden. It was also near where Casey's family lives, so it worked out perfect.  I loved the location as much as they did- made for photos. I also loved that the reception was right there in the garden! Such a cool place to party after the ceremony. Casey is a very down to earth gal and so is her man- the two of them are such a delight to be around and there wedding was a joy to shoot! I hope you enjoy the photos!

Kerem & Lauren ~ Engagement Shoot

San Francisco, CA
Kerem & Lauren live up in San Francisco but are getting married down in San Diego in October. For their engagement photos they wanted to take them in the city they live in, and with San Diego being such a short flight to San Francisco, I didn't mind flying up there for the afternoon/evening to take their photos. I love San Francisco and have always wanted to do a shoot up there and Kerem and Lauren were really into having their pictures taken. It was a great evening all around! We shot in the city and then went out to the coast. The temperature was warm and the reliable foggy San Fran weather made for pretty light. I can't wait for their wedding in October!

She is a little peanut. We took photos when she was almost 2 weeks old. She is a sweet, quiet, happy little girl. She did great her first time in front of the camera! Well done Toby & Dana, and little Millie too!!!

Hudson Fox Kolski! 7 months old, son to Barbi & Brian.

I hadn't seen this little guys since he was only a week or so old, and boy has he gotten even cuter! Mom put him in this adorable hat and just added to how adorable he was. We only took photos for a little bit in the back yard, it was almost nap time. But after starting off a little cranky and shy, but the end he was laughing and having a good time being a little model!! We'll take photos of the whole family when he's a year old! Can't wait. April 23, 2011 ~ Anthony & Jessica

Jessica & Anthony, Laguna Beach, CA

Jessica & Anthony got married at a beautiful little park up in Laguna Beach, CA. It was such a cool location. They had a nice small gathering of family and friends and got married right on the water. Jessica found me through Anthony's brother Michael, I had taken his wedding photos about 4 or 5 years ago. Their family is so sweet I was really looking forward to seeing them all again. After the ceremony we took photos right there- such a great setting. And then we went down to the beach for a few minutes. They also rented this cool "bus" that was designed to be an old woodie station waggon. Really cool. It was a short little wedding and I was happy to go up to the OC to be apart of it!

Riley & Valerie ~ Vail, CO
Valerie is one of my good good friends and I was so honored to be able to photograph her wedding! She grew up in Vail, CO and I used to live there years ago. But we both lived on Maui together, where our friendship really blossomed.  We both knew the beauty of the mountains that would be the backdrop to the wedding and I also know how gorgeous Val is and that the photos would be stunning. Val ended up marrying a friend of hers from middle and high school, they reconnected and fell in love.

The ceremony was actually at their old middle school's athletic fields! Of course the field was surrounded by the mountains and aspen trees- beautiful. After there ceremony we took photos around the grounds- Riley knew of an old outhouse that was neat for photos. Then on the way to Vail Village I asked Riley to pull over at this cool antique store we drove past on the way to the ceremony. Photos came out awesome!! The entire day was wonderful and I loved being able to be there for her as her friend and her photographer.
