I was fresh from the WPPI (wedding portrait photographers international) convention and oozing with ideas!! I've work in La Jolla for almost 4 years now and never noticed this building!! And knew next client that was up for it we would go there before going to my favorite La Jolla beach spot!

Well, Toby & Katie were my first victims and they were AMAZING to take photos of!! They did what I told them :) and I think the shoot came out great!! They also didn't mind that I put some wild effects on their photos- a lovely trick I learned @ the convention!! Can't wait for the wedding in September!!!

Brian & Lauren Engagement

It's a new year and I'm already behind on my blogging! I am going to try and post a new one each day this week and be caught up! This was an engagement session for Lauren & Brian... Brian went to high school with my sister and brother-in-law back in Connecticut -- by coincidence they met with me about shooting their wedding and we discovered this while chatting! Such a small world!!
They wanted to take photos near where they lived- and I can't blame them cause it's beautiful in this area. And it takes a certain "local" to be down for taking photos in Ocean Beach! They also didn't mind that they got a little wet and adventurous for the shoot! They were great and I can't wait for this wedding!!!

El Cortez, San Diego, CA

Tisha & Jeff.... beaming with love and joy! As is any wedding but this one I could feel the engery that flowed throughout your wedding it was to happy and colorful!!! When Tisha and Jeff hired me they made it clear that they were most looking forward to the reception and getting their dance on! They did not disappoint. The wedding being at El Cortez, delivers a stunning reception hall... perfect for dancing and some fun pictures! Another note about El Cortez... its a little limited with places to shoot aside from the main steps! I was so greatful the Tisha & Jeff were willing to walk a few blocks and run up a hill more than once!!! It was worth the photo!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Hayley & Mike July 20, 2008

Admiral Kidd Club, Point Loma, CA

Mike & Hayley!!! This wedding was awesome!! Aside from Mike & Hayley being so great to photograph...ummm I think they're models?!?!!! They were so good!! So aside from that-- my favorite color is the blue she used in the wedding... and parasols!! No flowers for the bridesmaids it was spinning of pretty parasols instead. I LOVE IT!!! Really couldn't have asked for a better day.... ceremony site looks at downtown San Diego... and their family and friends were awesome! Hayley is from South Africa and her family couldn't have been sweeter. Not to knock Mike! Your family was great too. These two had been dating since high school!!! So their families definatly knew eachother. It was so great! Thanks to our mutal friend Zack that suggested me to shoot their wedding! I wouldn't have wanted to miss this!!!

Anne & Brad July 12th 2008

Hilton at Mission Bay, Mission Bay, CA

Anne & Brad! Really can't say enough about these two! First off I loved that Anne had tares from magazines to show me what she liked in terms of photos... which allowed the fun set up shot with the bridal party. Second they did anything I asked them to! I love the jumping off the ledge shot the boys did... note the high-five going on! Third.... aside from how amazingly beautiful Anne is-- she has great taste all around. I loved her SHOES!!! So there are hundreds of photos from this wedding that I love -- it was so hard to only post these! Thank you Anne & Brad for trusting me to shoot your wedding and being spontaneous with me!
I wasn't kidding about the shoes... Ralph Lauren.
I was slightly kidding about getting on the piano... but they did it! Love it!! And the shoes on the table with them dancing in the background- one of my all time favs. I just love that the shoes had to come off but the night continued.

Coronado Community Center, Coronado, CA

I took the engagement photos for Jamie & Rob so we knew each other a little bit. One of elements of the wedding I enjoyed most was that the hotel they got ready at allowed them to be able to walk to their ceremony and reception. Which I enjoyed and I'm sure their guests did as well. Another wonderful day for photos beautiful weather and a pretty sunset. It was easy to take photos of them because they were beaming with all of the excitement from the wedding. Really great to see the love and emotions of the day through them and I'm so glad to have captured that for them!

Jacqui and Matt wedding day turned out perfect. And I say that not only because of how crazy cute and in love they are but because the days before their wedding the weather was awful!! But the morning of their wedding it was all gone... the clouds - the rain... only perfect sky with sunshine. What a blessing! That set the mood for the rest of their wedding. It was romantic and filled with their love for each other and the love of their family. All together an amazing setting and group of people to take photos of!
