Joe & Erica July 27, 2013

Joe & Erica- Seattle Aquarium, Seattle, WA

This was such a fun wedding! I had never been to Seattle so I was more than excited to check out the city for the 1st time!  Joe and  Erica had known each other since they were babies! Their moms were friends but after a few years they moved apart from each other, Joe up to WA and Erica stayed in CA. They would find each other again on... facebook! At the reception there were photos of the two of them as toddlers hugging and playing together! LOVE IT!!

Aside from the amazing "how they met" story... the girls got ready at the Four Seasons in Seattle, a beautiful hotel. And even more beautiful was Erica, her dress, her bridesmaids, the flowers, the colors, family, friends, pretty much everything! It was just as fun as I thought it would be. Their ceremony was outside on the dock of the Aquarium- right on the water. And then the reception was in a room in the Aquarium with a floor to ceiling fish tank! The sun was shining it was a beautiful summer day in Seattle... a brilliant day for a wedding!

I know I had a blast taking photos- and I know the bride & groom and all their guests did as well!!

Enjoy the highlights!

Dana & Colin Engagement Session

Old Poway Park-
Dana and Colin wanted to have their photos taken some place rustic and interesting. I had recently seen some photos from the Old Poway Park and thought it looked pretty perfect for what they were looking for. They agreed! The location was a great mix of old western rail mixed with a few modern color backgrounds we found. I really enjoyed the location- and the couple was adorable, sweet, and easy to photograph. Their wedding was pretty great as well... I'll share those photos soon. Enjoy!

Trista & Michael - Engagement Session

Solana Beach Train Station-
Trista and Michael are getting married next month! The wedding will be in downtown San Diego at the Luce Loft, so for their engagement photos they wanted to have some neat architecture but also a bit of the coast line. The Solana Beach train station is perfect for that. It's a great mix of modern backdrops but also a quick walk to the beach for some nice beach photos as well. I can't wait for their wedding!!
Enjoy!

Luke & Calisa July 13, 2013

US Coast Guard Academy- New London, CT

Luke and Calisa were married near my hometown in Connecticut. They knew my work from a friend, my previous clients Bryan & Sarah. I love working for referred clients! Given that we didn't get to meet until the day of their wedding, it was nice to at least know a few people in common. The Coast Guard Academy is a beautiful location. The church where their ceremony took place was so pretty inside and out. What I also really enjoyed about this wedding was the bride & groom. There were very mellow and just happy and fun to take photos of. Calisa had shared her Pintrest wedding pin board with me so I knew what style of photographs she was looking for. The only photos we couldn't pull off were the ones with the dramatic sunlight that glows at sunset through the trees... it had been raining off and on all day- we lucked out with dry weather after the ceremony- but no sunset. Still as you will see their photos came out great! Congrats to the beautiful couple!

Shonda & Kevin - Engagement Shoot

June 20, 2013- Balboa Park

Shonda & Kevin are getting married next month! They wanted to take photos with the flowers blooming and lots of color. We tried to take pics earlier in the year but it didn't work out. Thankfully when we were able to schedule the shoot the flowers were still in bloom and beautiful. It was such an easy carefree shoot. I look forward to seeing the beautiful couple in the wedding day best in a few weeks!

Nick & Kathryn - May 25, 2013

Castle Pines, Colorado
Nick and Kathryn got married in a beautiful area of Colorado, just south of Denver and along the bottom of the rockies. I was so excited to be able to photograph a wedding in Colorado- with such a breath taking backdrop. And to make the wedding even more beautiful - Kathryn and Nick! It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Gorgeous weather and just the right amount of clouds. They had a sweet first look to get most of their photos done before ceremony so they could socialize and party with friends and family. The entire wedding went so perfect and I couldn't stop taking photos!! Thank you Kathryn & Nick for including me in such a special day!!
