Solvang, CA
Jon and Samantha got married in a cool little town up East of Santa Barbara. The wedding took place at a golf course, which made for a beautiful backdrop. We had gorgeous sunny and clear skies the entire day. What stands out most to me about this wedding was how cute and funny they were as a couple. They made each other laugh. I also loved their style... it was bright and modern. The last thing I remember most was how sweet and fondly their family and friends spoke of them. It was lovely to hear them talk about Samantha and Jon and what great people they were individually and how wonderful they are as a pair. Oh and their dance floor rocked ;)
Enjoy the highlights!

Nam & Julie May 26th 2012
Humphrey's By The Bay, San Diego, CA
Julie & Nam lucked out with some amazing weather for their beautiful day wedding! I had not met them prior to the wedding so I was very excited to put a face to a voice/email. Julie is from Australia, and Nam is from the USA, so I was also excited to hear how they met... which was on a plane! I love stories like this, especially with a happy ending of love and marriage. They were joined by family members and friends from all over the world. And most of them they had not seen in some time. This made for a wonderful happy gathering of people. As you will see the wedding turned out to be as beautiful as the couple! Please enjoy some of their highlights from the big day...

Nina & Nick Engagement Shoot
Ferry Landing Park, Coronado, CA
Nina and Nick are getting married in October of this year. They chose the Ferry Landing Park of their engagement shoot because that's where Nick proposed. I too love the Ferry Landing Park, I love the mix of park, dock, and beach, and I also LOVE the city skyline in the background. They were both super sweet and casual to take photos of. I look forward to seeing them on their big day this Fall!!

Kristopher & Alexandra 2.18.12
Coronado Community Center, Coronado, CA

I met Alex and Kris over a year ago when we did their engagement sessions. For which the photos came out amazing! We took photos at Sunset Cliffs, and they brought along some red balloons as props! I knew the wedding would be just as cool as their engagement shoot... and it did not disappoint! In fact I had too many cool photos to preview on the blog!
They got ready at the Glorietta Bay Inn on Coronado... they had a wedding coordinator, Amy Vargas of "First Comes Love" who kept us all on our toes! And their DJ was someone I work with often, Bill Calhoun.
The ceremony and reception was held at the Community Center, which always makes a good backdrop.
The wedding was beautiful, Alex and Kris photographed so well. She reminded me of Snow White all day long! I also loved their ceremony- it was round. Meaning everyone was surrounding them, which was something I had not seen before. It made for great vantage points for photography.
One of the last photos we took were outside at night. We didn't really have a good sunset, there were too many clouds, but later those clouds were lit up from the city lights! I knew would look great in photos. Alex had asked me prior to the wedding to take the night photos so we were prepared. We only stepped outside for a few minutes- it was a little chilly. It was worth being a little cold though!!
Enjoy!

Bryan & Elizabeth, May 28, 2011
Mystic, CT
Bryan and Lizzy were married in my home town back in Connecticut. I've known Liz since high school, her older sister, Caroline and I are best buds. So not only was I thrilled that Liz had finally met a great guy and was marrying him- but that I also was going to be able to photograph their wedding!
She got dressed at her parents house and then we took a trolley over to St. Michael's Church for the ceremony... then after we all rode over in the trolley to the Mystic Seaport and Latitude 41 for the reception. I love shooting weddings at the Seaport- such a fun back drop. And it's usually almost empty by the time they let us in. Thanks to Bryan and Liz for getting in the mini sailboats (that I took sailing class in years ago) and their wedding party- made for a cool photo! We also saved about 10 mins for just Bryan & Liz photos after the cocktail hour and into reception, but the fog rolled in on the Mystic River really quick and we had to take photos earlier than expected! It actually made for neat lighting and backdrop.
Such a great wedding! I loved every minute of it! Enjoy the photos!!
