Bryan and Lizzy were married in my home town back in Connecticut. I've known Liz since high school, her older sister, Caroline and I are best buds. So not only was I thrilled that Liz had finally met a great guy and was marrying him- but that I also was going to be able to photograph their wedding!

She got dressed at her parents house and then we took a trolley over to St. Michael's Church for the ceremony... then after we all rode over in the trolley to the Mystic Seaport and Latitude 41 for the reception. I love shooting weddings at the Seaport- such a fun back drop. And it's usually almost empty by the time they let us in. Thanks to Bryan and Liz for getting in the mini sailboats (that I took sailing class in years ago) and their wedding party- made for a cool photo! We also saved about 10 mins for just Bryan & Liz photos after the cocktail hour and into reception, but the fog rolled in on the Mystic River really quick and we had to take photos earlier than expected! It actually made for neat lighting and backdrop.

Such a great wedding! I loved every minute of it! Enjoy the photos!!

Season and Mark had a beautiful wedding at the Liberty House which is the edge of New Jersey and the Hudson River... and across the way is NYC. Which makes for an amazing backdrop! I love Season's style and taste, her wedding was absolutely beautiful- and as you'll see from the photographs so were Season & Mark. Their wedding was a blast to photograph and I loved so many of the getting ready shots it was hard to only pick a few to post! I just loved the colors- the veil-the dress- Season! Enjoy!

Terra Serra Museum, San Diego, CA

Christian and Pasquale got married at the Terra Serra Museum which sits above Old Town San Diego. This location is really old, historic, private, and so pretty. I love that their guests get to enjoy the sunset outside overlooking the land and out to the ocean. I had met Christian the year before, I photographed her best friends wedding, Crystal, who was now a bridesmaid in Christian's wedding. Her and Pasquale were so sweet and laid back the entire wedding, they looked so happy and in love that day. I truly enjoyed photographing their wedding, hopefully the photos will show that!!

The Thursday Club, Point Loma, CA
This was a neat location for a nice little wedding. I say nice and little because Becky & Jason's wedding was just that! Their guests were their closest family and friends and they had a beautiful daytime wedding with a delicious brunch for all. I loved the antique feeling of Becky's style. I also loved that it was important to them to take some time after the wedding to go down to Sunset Cliffs for photos. Such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!

Hakone Gardens, Saratoga, CA

Casey and Andre got married at this beautiful Japanese Garden up in Northern California. The story goes that they were driving along this scenic highway and stumbled upon this stunning garden. It was also near where Casey's family lives, so it worked out perfect. I loved the location as much as they did- made for photos. I also loved that the reception was right there in the garden! Such a cool place to party after the ceremony. Casey is a very down to earth gal and so is her man- the two of them are such a delight to be around and there wedding was a joy to shoot! Kerem & Lauren ~ Engagement Shoot

Kerem & Lauren live up in San Francisco but are getting married down in San Diego in October. For their engagement photos they wanted to take them in the city they live in, and with San Diego being such a short flight to San Francisco, I didn't mind flying up there for the afternoon/evening to take their photos. I love San Francisco and have always wanted to do a shoot up there and Kerem and Lauren were really into having their pictures taken. It was a great evening all around! We shot in the city and then went out to the coast. The temperature was warm and the reliable foggy San Fran weather made for pretty light. I can't wait for their wedding in October!

Hudson Fox Kolski! 7 months old, son to Barbi & Brian.

I hadn't seen this little guys since he was only a week or so old, and boy has he gotten even cuter! Mom put him in this adorable hat and just added to how adorable he was. We only took photos for a little bit in the back yard, it was almost nap time. But after starting off a little cranky and shy, but the end he was laughing and having a good time being a little model!! We'll take photos of the whole family when he's a year old! Can't wait. Jessica & Anthony got married at a beautiful little park up in Laguna Beach, CA. It was such a cool location. They had a nice small gathering of family and friends and got married right on the water. Jessica found me through Anthony's brother Michael, I had taken his wedding photos about 4 or 5 years ago. Their family is so sweet I was really looking forward to seeing them all again. After the ceremony we took photos right there- such a great setting. And then we went down to the beach for a few minutes. They also rented this cool "bus" that was designed to be an old woodie station waggon. Really cool. It was a short little wedding and I was happy to go up to the OC to be apart of it!

Riley & Valerie ~ Vail, CO
Valerie is one of my good good friends and I was so honored to be able to photograph her wedding! She grew up in Vail, CO and I used to live there years ago. But we both lived on Maui together, where our friendship really blossomed. We both knew the beauty of the mountains that would be the backdrop to the wedding and I also know how gorgeous Val is and that the photos would be stunning. Val ended up marrying a friend of hers from middle and high school, they reconnected and fell in love.

The ceremony was actually at their old middle school's athletic fields! Of course the field was surrounded by the mountains and aspen trees- beautiful. After there ceremony we took photos around the grounds- Riley knew of an old outhouse that was neat for photos. Then on the way to Vail Village I asked Riley to pull over at this cool antique store we drove past on the way to the ceremony. Photos came out awesome!! The entire day was wonderful and I loved being able to be there for her as her friend and her photographer.

The Lighthouse Museum & the Wadawanuck Club

Heather and I went to the same school, Pine Point, from Kindergarten to 9th grade. She is actually a bit younger than me, my sister and her were in the same grade. With the help of Facebook she saw that I was a photographer living in San Diego. She contacted me about her wedding and we both agreed that having someone you know always makes the subject feel a bit more comfortable in front of the camera. Aside from our connection...I love the story of her and her husband. They met in Mass and turns out he is the nephew of one of our teachers from Pine Point! Such a small world! So another bonus of shooting this wedding aside from knowing Heather, it being in our beautiful home town, there were also going to be a couple of our teachers in attendance!

The wedding ended up living up to all of my expectations...and I'm hoping Heather & Jamie's as well. We had great weather! After the ceremony we walked over to the docks and got on a family friends boat for a cruise around the point and then down to the Yacht Club that the reception was at. Such a beautiful happy wedding!!! I loved photographing it!! Thank you Heather & Jamie for asking me to share in your day!

Ali & Jonathan- Engagement

Ali & Jonathan's wedding is also going to be on Coronado, but we won't have time to go to the beach for their wedding photos so they really wanted to take their engagement photos there. I was excited because I suggested we start at the Coronado Community Center and then walk over to the beach to end the session. I've shot weddings at the CCC before and was interested in taking some with people out of their wedding attire. If locals can recall, San Diego this past summer was in a gray funk! So this day was gray and not too pretty- but I felt we made the best of it and I loved the colors they wore- it really made them pop!

Tom Ham's Lighthouse, San Diego, CA

Leslie and Adam both got ready at the Sheraton down the street from Tom Hams. Thankfully we had enough time to take photos of the bride & groom separately before the ceremony. We started with Adam getting ready, then popped up to the girls getting hair and makeup done. After we met Adam in the lobby and then headed over at Tom Hams. We had enough time to take photos of the groomsmen, then Adams family met and we were able to take those photos as well. Then we went back to the hotel to catch Lesley putting on her dress. I loved the lace trim on her veil! It made for pretty photos in the window. We then made our way to the ceremony but stopped along the way to take photos of her, the bridesmaids, and some of her family. As always downtown San Diego makes a great backdrop!
The ceremony and the rest of the photos went along nicely. My favorite part of the wedding was the dance off the bride and groom organized among certain guests! That was a blast to watch and photograph!!!

Elizabeth & Ian live near Balboa Park and thought it would be a great place to take photo for their engagement session. I always enjoy shooting at Balboa and the challenge of taking photos where there are less people. That's the one snare about engagement sessions at the park- people. It always take about 20 mins or so for the subjects to relax and warm up to the camera... with Balboa being so crowded its easy to have on-lookers that make it a bit uncomfortable for taking photos! Thankfully Balboa is a big place and its easy to find less crowded spots!

Amy and Jeff are a great couple that I know through my sister & my brother-in-law. In fact Amy second shoots with me when I have weddings on the East Coast and Jeff was my brother-in-laws best man at their wedding. The location of their wedding was also special, it was at the Alton Jones campus at the University of Rhode Island, my Alma Mater. It is a big cabin compound on this lake surrounded by woods! So pretty! We had a beautiful day with wonderful clouds. And Amy & Jeff had a great crew of family and friends to celebrate with them! Such a great wedding!! I had a blast capturing it!!!

Heidi is a good friend of mine from college. We met our freshmen year at URI and have been friends ever since. The last place we lived together was on Maui! She has since been living back in Mass. I was to happy that she asked me to photograph your wedding. Knowing your photographer is such a bonus. I feel the client and myself fell comfortable and I think she trusted me that I would deliver! She got dressed at her parents house in Hummarock, MA which is right on the water. The ceremony and reception were inland at a country club. Her ceremony and reception were early in the day which allowed for a chill backyard after party at her brothers house. This made for a challenging shoot! With the sun being at it's highest and brightest. So I convinced them to a after wedding shoot back in Hummarock for the photos of just her and Kevin. It really paid off! I saw this rundown beach cottage that had a great feel... I also found a piece of"trash" that was a wooden print of an American flag. It made the photo look like a Ralph Lauren shoot! Thanks for trusting my vision!!!

Scripps Forum, La Jolla, CA
This was a very special wedding for me to shoot! One of the first friends I made in San Diego was the groom, Paul. He met Amanda after we became friends and she became my friend as well. I knew several of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, family, & friends that were at the wedding, which just makes capturing the day so easy! I was SO happy to be at the wedding as their photographer and friend! It made every minute so enjoyable!

They got ready at The Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla and from there we headed up to Scripps Forum. The Colonial is such a great hotel for photos- I love the colors there. As you will see from their photos, the Forum did not disappoint either! It was a little bright and the ocean was reflecting a ton of sun- but we were able to split the photos up and take some amazing sunset shots later in the evening!! Such an AMAZING time!! And such a sweet, in love, gorgeous couple!!! As you will see I've posted a ton of photos... :) Couldn't resist!

May 22nd, 2010 ~ Steele Canyon Golf Course
Jessica & Josh got married at this beautiful golf course... the weather couldn't have been more perfect! Also the golf course posed as the perfect backdrop with many spots for photos! One of my favorite shots was right after the ceremony, there was a large clock tower that we walked up to and it was showing the actual time... it made it a perfect moment to capture their happiness right after getting married and the exact time it was happening. I hope the photos reflect what an amazing place and adorable couple we were able to take photos of!

Francis and Min flew me up to the tiny airport near Pebble Beach. I was so excited that I was available and able to shoot their wedding! (It was a last minute booking) I was looking forward to the scenery up there... huge tall trees everywhere and the private estate they were having their wedding. Also their engagement session went so well I was really looking forward to seeing them at their very best on their wedding day! Well they did not disappoint! Min was beautiful & of course the groom, Francis looked good too! The skies were slightly over cast which made it nice and cool with pleasant light for all. It was an intimate and gorgeous wedding! I hope the photos will give you some idea of what I'm writing about.... I had such a great time and enjoyed every minute of photographing it!!

Solana Beach Train Station, Solana Beach, CA
Francis and Min called me about a month before their wedding. Their photographer had cancelled on them and they were desperate to find a new one. Luckily I was available the weekend of their wedding!! We managed to squeeze in the engagement session too, which was nice because everything was so last minute it great to be able to meet them. I love the location they suggested. I'd been to the Solana Beach Train Station before, but never shot photos there. It was a GREAT place for photos and I will recommend shooting there again!! Paul & Amanda Engagement

Paul and Amanda are two of my good friends! They're getting married next weekend, and I can't wait! We finally got the engagement photos done at the beginning of April. Both were very nervous in front of the camera. I kept telling them... it's me! Relax and have fun with each other. Eventually they did and the photos came out great! I met Sutton & Elizabeth only a few months before their wedding. They are extremely laid back and told me that was how they wanted their wedding to go. Their wedding was at this cute hotel with a huge lawn that hung off the cliffs. So pretty. We had great light that day too, not too much sun. Right after the ceremony we were able to take photos on the property and then walk over to the cliffs. Such great views! My favorite part of the wedding was during the reception, the story of how he proposed in the WATER in Hawaii!! Crazy! A perfect insight to how these two are, free spirits.

It was a beautiful day... not too sunny and just enough clouds! Their wedding was simple and intimate. They also have an adorable son that also made the day fun! At the reception he was too cute. We had plenty of time before the ceremony to take lots of photos of the girls. Enough time to hit the beach on the bay, which was great! The guys for a change we running late, so we didn't take their pics until later. Most memorable part was during the ceremony when they talked about how they first met! So cute!! Lauren and JD are getting married in October in South Carolina. I am so looking forward to their wedding in the South! Lauren is a friend of mine, which makes taking photos of her a little easier. They live right down the street from this beach and it had sentimental meaning to them... so it was the obvious choice for their engagement photos. They made each other laugh a lot and genuinely enjoyed being photographed... I think! At least it looked like that on the outside! Chelsea and Steve got married a month after we took these engagement photos. They were both so great in front of the camera and with each other I knew the wedding was going to be just as easy. Darlington House, La Jolla, CA
This is one of my favorite locations in San Diego. First it's an
historical location. The house contains numerous antiques and original
wallpaper- which I love. The garden grounds where the reception was held is just so pretty.
I just can't say enough about how much I enjoyed being there--- and to top it off the bride and groom are the cutest couple and allowed me take their photos all over the place.
I figured they chose this location for a reason as well, and then had a
great list of places on the property to shoot at. I just want to note that the guys wanted to do a "Captan Morgan" pose in the street :) And some how we joked about the bridesmaid jumping in the
bathtub and they did it!!!! Such a good time!!!!

Estancia La Jolla, La Jolla, CA
Josh & Lillian had a unique wedding, at the Estanicia- with it's beautiful Spanish style. Afterwards the wedding moved to Point Loma to an intimate dinner at a
great restaurant, the Roseville. The ceremony was beautiful and
offered great places for photos. The reception was an intimate setting
in a small quaint restaurant with their family and friends. It was a nice change to have the reception in such a setting that allowed the bride & groom and their guests to have this venue all to themselves. I truly enjoyed being apart of this great day!

La Jolla Women's Club, La Jolla, CA
Amy and Logan got married at the La Jolla Women's Club- which I loved
shooting at! I love the colors inside the building and the gardens on
the outside. Another bonus was that we could walk to the Museum of Art
& a few other spots to take the portraits. I love that it was a small
intimate wedding filled with their family and closest friends. Oh-

Rancho Palo Verde Lake, Alpine, CA

It was fun to shoot this wedding! Amanda & Travis were so silly and happily in love with each other -- and EXCITED. I could see Amanda's excitement through her emails!! That's one of the elements I love about shooting weddings is not only the logistics of the wedding but the difference in relationships that I sometimes form before the big day.

I really looked forward to shooting their wedding and see it all come together. It was at a location that I had never been to, and a beautiful one at that. I remember a nice breeze off the lake that kept us cool all day. I loved their colors and the energy between not only Amanda & Travis but also with their friends and family. I tried my best to capture their emotions and go un-noticed among the guests. I think I accomplished just that!

Wendy & Chris's wedding sticks out to me this year as the most excited truly blissful union. No offense to any of my other weddings- but from the moment I first met Wendy she oozed love and excitement like nothing I had ever witnessed before. I had never met someone so excited to get married- so happy! That happiness and joy was bursting out of her during their engagement shoot and of course at their wedding. It was a beautiful April day right on the beach. My second shooter knew about this cool map that was painted on the ground near the hotel and she couldn't have picked a cooler spot for photos! The black and white shot of Wendy I included in this blog, really shows what I saw through this whole process, I was lucky enough to capture her expression of happiness, peace, and satisfaction!!

Mary & Jessie Wedding

Mary & Jesse were married at Karl Strauss in Sorrento Valley. If you have never been there, it is a little hide-away with lush landscape hidden in an industrial-type area. It is beautiful! Their wedding was so cute and they couldn't keep their hands off each other! I also remember their friends and family said very touching words about them. They truly were a great couple to take photos of... the energy that is between them really came through! Jennifer & Phill Wedding

March 14, 2009 Pacific Beach, CA

Jenn & Phill are from Boston, MA. and I'm from Connecticut so I was excited to be working with some East Coasters! We met months before the wedding (of course) and had decided to try and take their engagement photos when I was home in the winter for the holidays. Sadly, the weather back East did not cooperate and we did not get a chance to take them.. it was freezing and REALLY gray!!!!

Their wedding was a Catholic ceremony at St. Bridgid's in Pacific Beach and then the reception followed at the Catamaran. What I love about the Catamaran location are a few things. One there's a nice lawn area to take the family photos at... you can take family photos on the Bayside and then switch up the bridal party and bride & groom shots over on the ocean side. Love it! Now this day started off hazy and cloudy... not gray and dense clouds though.. so the light was nice. While we were in the church the clouds cleared and it got SUPER sunny out!!! The family photos at the Catamaran were fine - we found some shade! But when we hit the beach it was BRIGHT!!! I felt bad because eyes were watering and major squinting was going on! But with all that this crew was up for some photos!!! Jenn and Phill really wanted to do some fun shots with their bridal party.. and I was more than happy to do what was requested!!! Then we snapped a few of just Jenn and Phill and agreed to take some more photos on the Bayside during the reception, right before sunset. Of course on the walk back to the Bay I spotted a rusty garage door and made them stop to take photos... They were like, "ok... rusty gross garage in alley- sure!!" Thanks for trusting me, cause I really like the look of those photos and the light was nice. And the plan to leave dinner for a few more photos worked out perfectly..In 10 mins or so we got the shots I wanted! It was worth it!!

Amy & Logan were so easy to take photos of that I just let them make each other laugh... and as usual, the best smiles come out! They let me take them to my new fun-spot in La Jolla and then we went down to the beach before sunset. It was another perfect sky with a super sweet couple! I was fresh from the WPPI (wedding portrait photographers international) convention and oozing with ideas!! I've work in La Jolla for almost 4 years now and never noticed this building!! And knew next client that was up for it we would go there before going to my favorite La Jolla beach spot!

Well, Toby & Katie were my first victims and they were AMAZING to take photos of!! They did what I told them :) and I think the shoot came out great!! They also didn't mind that I put some wild effects on their photos- a lovely trick I learned @ the convention!! Can't wait for the wedding in September!!!

It's a new year and I'm already behind on my blogging! I am going to try and post a new one each day this week and be caught up! This was an engagement session for Lauren & Brian... Brian went to high school with my sister and brother-in-law back in Connecticut -- by coincidence they met with me about shooting their wedding and we discovered this while chatting! Such a small world!!
They wanted to take photos near where they lived- and I can't blame them cause it's beautiful in this area. And it takes a certain "local" to be down for taking photos in Ocean Beach! They also didn't mind that they got a little wet and adventurous for the shoot! They were great and I can't wait for this wedding!!!

Tisha & Jeff.... beaming with love and joy! As is any wedding but this one I could feel the engery that flowed throughout your wedding it was to happy and colorful!!! When Tisha and Jeff hired me they made it clear that they were most looking forward to the reception and getting their dance on! They did not disappoint. The wedding being at El Cortez, delivers a stunning reception hall... perfect for dancing and some fun pictures! Another note about El Cortez... its a little limited with places to shoot aside from the main steps! I was so greatful the Tisha & Jeff were willing to walk a few blocks and run up a hill more than once!!! It was worth the photo!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Mike & Hayley!!! This wedding was awesome!! Aside from Mike & Hayley being so great to photograph...ummm I think they're models?!?!!! They were so good!! So aside from that-- my favorite color is the blue she used in the wedding... and parasols!! No flowers for the bridesmaids it was spinning of pretty parasols instead. I LOVE IT!!! Really couldn't have asked for a better day.... ceremony site looks at downtown San Diego... and their family and friends were awesome! Hayley is from South Africa and her family couldn't have been sweeter. Not to knock Mike! Your family was great too. These two had been dating since high school!!! So their families definatly knew eachother. It was so great! Thanks to our mutal friend Zack that suggested me to shoot their wedding! I wouldn't have wanted to miss this!!!

Anne & Brad! Really can't say enough about these two! First off I loved that Anne had tares from magazines to show me what she liked in terms of photos... which allowed the fun set up shot with the bridal party. Second they did anything I asked them to! I love the jumping off the ledge shot the boys did... note the high-five going on! Third.... aside from how amazingly beautiful Anne is-- she has great taste all around. I loved her SHOES!!! So there are hundreds of photos from this wedding that I love -- it was so hard to only post these! Thank you Anne & Brad for trusting me to shoot your wedding and being spontaneous with me!
I wasn't kidding about the shoes... Ralph Lauren.
I was slightly kidding about getting on the piano... but they did it! Love it!! And the shoes on the table with them dancing in the background- one of my all time favs. I just love that the shoes had to come off but the night continued.

I took the engagement photos for Jamie & Rob so we knew each other a little bit. One of elements of the wedding I enjoyed most was that the hotel they got ready at allowed them to be able to walk to their ceremony and reception. Which I enjoyed and I'm sure their guests did as well. Another wonderful day for photos beautiful weather and a pretty sunset. It was easy to take photos of them because they were beaming with all of the excitement from the wedding. Really great to see the love and emotions of the day through them and I'm so glad to have captured that for them!

Jacqui and Matt wedding day turned out perfect. And I say that not only because of how crazy cute and in love they are but because the days before their wedding the weather was awful!! But the morning of their wedding it was all gone... the clouds - the rain... only perfect sky with sunshine. What a blessing! That set the mood for the rest of their wedding. This location isn't called "secret beach" by the locals ts just what I like to call it!
Katie is one of my good friends sister... she and Mark live out in Arizona and were in town taking care of wedding stuff. We wanted to make time for the engagement shoot, but the weather was yucky and I said lets just check it and see what we get. We went to one of my favorite places that had little to no people because of the gray non-sunshine day. It was perfect just enough light to shoot and these two were AWESOME to take photos of. We were only down there for 45 mins but we managed to get more than enough photos.... they had so much chemistry it was wonderful.... as you can see from these image they enjoy each other very much!! Wait till I post the wedding photos!!

I was lucky enough to get back to my home town, Stonington, CT, last week. Along with shooting my good friend's sister's wedding--- I stalked all my friends children! I can't take how cute and good looking they ALL are! How is that possible?!?!! It's amazing!!! I can't say enough so I'm going to let their photos speak for their cuteness!!

First up.... Orion Carney,
son to Amy & Tom!!!!
He was awesome...
he bounced in his own private bouncy thing,
dressed up as a pirate,
played his guitar,
and let me have lunch with him! After that he was over pictures and ready for a nap!!!

Next.... Thomas Henry & Natalie O'Kefee, son & daughter to Pete & Caroline. Thomas & my camera have met before... and this day Caroline & I got him all excited to take pictures, put on his Ireland soccer uniform... sadly he thought he wanted to take photos but then realized he didn't. Lucky for me little sis was REALLY wanting to take pics! I managed to sneak a few of Thomas, but Natalie got it on!!

After harassing those O'Kefee's I went down the street to check out more O'Kefee's, Carleigh & Finnella , daughters of David & Julie. Carleigh just became a big sister and was in good model spirt... and setting a great example of how its done!

While taking my black & white photography class... I managed to get some friends to agree to dressing up and going to the Bitter End Bar, downtown. I was so impressed with their ability to look stunning and like professional models! You were all amazing to me and thank you so much for putting up with my crazy ideas!!! Jennifer and Jason were so fun/funny to take pictures of! Jennifer is so pretty and simple to shoot. And as always the guy poses a bit more of a challenge.. but then loosens up and actually starts posing! They were in good spirits and Jason really handled his modeling moments like a pro. The fact that these photos were such a breeze I am really looking forward to their wedding!! thanks for having good attitudes and having fun.. or at least pretending to!!! Sooooo if you're checking this out you'll see a big gap from March until now! I've been busy. In my "off season" (march-may) I coach girls lacrosse at La Jolla High School and this year I also took a black and white film class. Both were wonderful but REALLY kept me busy! So I have been majorly behind in my blogging.... I'm trying to catch up, I've been shooting some amazing weddings and other events!! I have been so lucky lately with great photography moments!

Kat, Ryan, and I had just taken photos 2 weeks before the wedding so they were nice and comfortable with me and my camera! The Hotel that Kat got dressed in had amazing light and I could have taken pictures for hours... Lucky for me that as just a preview of what was to come! The entire wedding was gorgeous! I loved the colors- the peacock feathers- EVERYTHING!!! I had a blast! And I had to post a pic or two of the kidos that were there!!!

Jackie and Matt are getting married in May so we went down to their favorite "secret" beach in La Jolla. It is a sweet spot with a little cove beach and rocks all around. Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala, San Diego, CA

What a beautiful location for a ceremony! Amazing places to take pictures. I had never shot there before I was so in love wih the location the moment I got there. Missy and Coner had done engagement pictures with me so we already knew what we were getting into! Their family and friends were also a really fun crew - although it wasn't until recpetion that I learned how fun the really are! They were a blast! They hired this 80's band that blew my mind and once they started the party WENT OFF!!! I loved every minute of this wedding. You two seriously ROCKED!!! Thank you thank you!!

Sherri and Brendon came to me by luck. Their original photographer double booked himself and they came to me last minute. It really worked out for the best though ;) I met them and their bridal party at the church during the rehearsal so we could quickly get accquainted. I could tell right away we would all get along great. On the big day the ceremony ended up going just past sunset which left us shooting some nice night portraits of the bride and groom. Their reception was at the lodge at Torrey Pines, which by the way, was decorated beautifully. Thank you so much to chance and going with first impressions!!!

Barbi was introduced to me by my good friend Courtney. Barbi and Brian got married along the Mission Bay boardwalk, which is a location I've always eyed when walking by. It was indeed a great venue, allowing us to be Bayside and able to cross over to the ocean side in minutes. I was so happy they let me bring them and their wedding party on the little journey. I think the pictures we got were well worth it! I'm assuming all the guests had an outstanding time especially at the reception... I know I did!!!

Escondito, CAKaren and Josh were married in a private back in July in Costa Rica. Once they were back in the US they celebrated a second wedding at home with family and friends. They stayed true to their laid back style, by turning the reception into a backyard luau.
It was a unique wedding with the greatest touch of style and aloha. If I could post all 1,000 images you'd really see how much fun this wedding really was!!! I enjoyed shooting them so much I only wish there had been more time. I loved the old car and the random field they let me drive them to! I could have taken photos there all night.

This wedding I 2nd shot with Tande from DiLanatta's Photography. A great female photographer I'm proud to work with. She has an amazing fashion approach to capturing a wedding. This wedding was at a private residence in La Jolla, CA. The house was right on the water...stunning. It was also a short walk to a secret little spot around the corner I knew about and lucky for us the bride and groom were down with going.
Unfortunately so was the bouquet... down and out... to sea! It just rolled right off the ledge! I was horrified and almost jumped in! Thank you Naomi a& Geoff for being so great and not letting that ruin a thing. Just made for a great story!!

La Jolla Cove area. Mike and Hayley are getting married next year but we got together early for some nice engagement shots! These two were a blast! Cabo San Lucas. Thank you Amy and Neville for letting me come to Cabo and be apart of your wedding! This was a great experience for many reasons... obvious location! Also I got to spend time with the bride & groom, family, and guests. It was great to attend the rehearsal dinner, get to know who was who, and then see everyone again at the wedding. Rain was lingering the day of the wedding, but luck would have it and it didn't rain. (even if it did, Hawaiian legend says rain on your wedding day brings many children!)It was a breathtaking setting and the reception afterwards was a blast!! Morgana, CA (Outside of San Francisco) The ceremony was held at Saint Mary's College, where Adele graduated from. This wedding was a great opportunity to hit the road, head up north, and team up with my good friend Kinga from Maui. Adele's sister is good friends with Kinga and that is how we got involved! We had the best time. The location for ceremony and reception was perfect. They rented a "cable car bus" to take us to and from. We really had a blast! I've photographed close to 200 weddings and I rarely get emotional. Something about Candis and Michael really got to me. After I got back from Maui, I 2ND shot for Robert Of Eyerisworks. The wedding was in Rancho Santa Fe in a gated community. The couple chose the location because it was on a lake. But Robert and I fell in love with this wooded path instead! Funny how that happens sometimes. They were a beautiful couple regardless of the setting. And we got a request for a "Reservoir Dogs" shot.. always fun!

Maui, HI. I went back to Maui to shoot a few weddings with my friend and fellow photographer Kinga. Here was a beautiful wedding on the South side of Maui, at a private home in Mekenna. Dawn and Todd were so sweet and easy to take pictures of! And ironically my fellow San Diego photographer, Garrett, shot their engagement photos in San Diego! Small world!
